Sheepskins: There was a good demand for all grades and descriptions, the market generally being gd to £d per lb better than last sale rates. Salteds showed tile same appreciation. Hides: Excellent demand for all weights. Heavies advanced Id, medium and lights par to" gd. Kip and calf sold particularly well, the former appreciating gd to Id, and the latter Id to 1-gd; yearlings sold well up to the level of last sales quotations. Tallow : Market slightly easier. The following is the range of prices— Sheepskins: Halfbred 6gd to lo|d, fine crossbred 9jd to 10gd, medium crossbred sgd to 9d, coarse crossbred sgd to B£d, half wools 4£d to B£d, quarter wools 4d to pelts 3d to 6£d, salted at each, pelts Is Id to 2s Id, quarter wools to 2s Bd, three-quarter wools to ss, full wools to 6s 3d, lambs 9gd to 2s Id. Hides : Ox, 33/44lbs 4|d to 6d, 45/521bs 3gd to 7|d, 53/591bs 6d to 7gd to B|d, 70ibs and over to 9d; t ow, 33/39ibs sjd to 6|d, 40/481bs 4|d to 6£d, 49!bs and over 3|d to 6d; kip, 25/321bs 4gd to 7jd; yearling, 11/161bs 4d to calf. 9/101bs 3d to BAd, 6/81bs 6d to llld, l/51bs 5d to Jlfd.
