BIBLE CLASS CAMP
THJS FINAL STAGES Friday saw many bidding farewell to the Bible Class camp for another year. The ordinary camp routine was proceeded with and at 10.30 a.m. all the camp moved off to a picnic on the Appleby River. The weather was ideal for swimming and the annual swimming sports were held. The honours in swimming were carried off by the South Island. The boys appreciated the outing very much and refished a good hot meal on their return. In the evening Mr Douglas gave a very ihteresting address on Nelson and its districts. This was enjoyed by all, the boys showing their keen appreciation by giving Mr Douglas three rousing cheers. Supper of cocoa and biscuits was then partaken of. Saturday morning the camp went along according to programme but there had to be a reshuffle during the day on account of the juniors coming up to the senior camp. During the day the lennis tournament finals were played and H. G. Norris ran out the winner after playing very consistent tennis. On Saturday evening the .trophies won during the camp were presented by the Rev. Mr Kenny, who in a neat little speech congratulated the winners and added that he hoped to see all the campers next year at New Plymouth, where the Wellington Diocese is contemplating holding the camp. On Sunday at 8 a.m. Communion was held in the parish church and. at 11 o’clock there Was morning service. On Sunday evening a good numbeV of campers journeyed to town n.-id attended the evening service at the C'atm.dial. To-day will see the break of camp.
