The death occurred at Christchurch last week of Dr. Alexander Paterson, recognised as one of the leaders of the dental profession in New Zealand, says a Press Association message. • He was a life member and past-president of the Ne,v Zealand Dental Association. Father John Higgins, until recently vice-rector of St Patrick’s College, Wellington, and Director of Catholic Social Studies, Wellington, leaves for Canada and the States in August to attend the Catholic University at Washington for the purpose of further study in science sociology and to make fuller acquaintance with modim social problems (says a Press Association telegram).
