Mouat and S. Kokey, when they were buried in a slip of sandstone rock where they were working near Tuatapere ygsterday. Constable Shipworth heard a call, for assistance and rushed to the rescue. Mouat was buried to the hips and Kokay was almost completely buried. Two pieces of rock, estimated to weigh two hundredweight each, were pressing on the latter’s chest. Constable Slupworlh freon Mouat and then ivith Mount’s assistance dug out Kokay with a shovel. Kokey, suffering mainly from bruises and shock, was removed to the hospital, at Riverton, while Mouat was found to have severe bruises.
