RAILWAY EMPLOYEE AT OAMARU (By Telegraph—Press Association) OAMARU, This Day. A railway employee, Charles Gibson, was run down by an express train near Oamaru station yesterday afternoon and killed instantaneously. Gibson was cutting 1 grass'’with a scythe. He was seeii in the middle of the main line with his back to the express which was approaching front the south, and looking toward the shunting engine with a rake of trucks approaching from the north. Apfarently he did not hear the express. he engine struck him, throwing him forward, picking hint up with the cow catcher and carrying him 26 yards Jaefnr throwing him on the shunting line. He was injured in tho head, limbs (ind body.
