SIX FEET OF WATER IN HOLD TEMPORARY REPAIRS INADEQUATE SYDNEY, This Day. It is learned that when the Montoro put into Brisbane on Sunday night she had six feet of water in her forward hold. The temporary repairs made in New Guinea after the vessel ran aground at Fortification Point proved inadequate when the Montoro struck the full force of the cyclone on her way down the coast and a serious leak developed.
