SILENCE ZONES
OBJECTIONS TO EXTENSION (United Press Association—By Eleotric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, Ist September. The “Daily Mail” says that many cities and towns are objecting to Major L. Hore-Belisha’s extension of silence zones. Alderman Atkey, of Nottingham, says that the Minister of Transport is unsurping the functions of local authorities, which are the best judges of the situation.
