AIR PILOT STRUCK BY LIGHTNING (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, Ist September. A passenger aeroplane flying from Paris to London had a remarkable escape when it was struck by lightning during a sudden storm over the Channel, says “The Daily Mail.” Tlie pilot himself was struck on the face his hair was scorched, and his clothing, slightly burnt, but lie carried on. None of the passengers were aware of what had happened until the machine landed safely in London and the pilot emerged from his cabin and appeared badly shaken. ...
