SPIRITUAL MISSION
The first of a series of mission services, to extend over the week, was held in the Briglitwater Methodist Church last night;.. This was. conducted by the Rev. B. Dudley, who took for his subject the place and importance of the spiritual in life. Behind the material, he said, was the spiritual, of which material things were but the expression and manifestation. Emphasis was laid upon the need for definite culture and exercise in the higher claims of life, and it was urged that people must show just as much activity and forethought in respect to these matters as they did in relation to business or education. , There was a good congregation, and a solo was rendered by Mrs Chittenden. Other speakers arranged for during the mission are the Revs. Messrs Burley and Hindinarsh.
