CLEANING UP DILLINGER’S GANG
SEVEN ARRESTS MADE GOVERNMENT CAMPAIGN (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) NEW YORK. Ist September. A Chicago message states that in the Government’s campaign to clean up the last remnants of Dillinger’s band of desperadoes seven persons were arrested to-day. They include Louis Piquett, who acted as the gangster’s attorney, two surgeons who performed a facial operation on Dillinger in an effort to disguise his identity, and two men and two women accused of harbouring him at various times. All are held under heavy bail.
