BRITISH RAILWAYMEN
CONFERENCE WITH COMPANIES RESTORATION OF CUTS (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, 9th August. A conference between the representatives of three railwaymen’s trade unions and the .general manageis of four railway groups lasted three hours to-day, and was adjourned until to-morrow. Claims made by'the unions for the discontinuance of the economy cuts made in 1931 and other matters were discussed. Press reports state that tentative proposals made by the companies will he discussed when the meeting is resumed.
