FORMER SOLICITOR CHARGED
GUILTY WITH RECOAIMENDATION TO MERCY SENTENCE DEFERRED (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON. This Day. “We are of opinion that despite his . careless and foolish methods of doing business prisoner had no intention of permanently depriving Wilson of his investment, and we unanimously recommend prisoner to the mercy of thc court.” This was a rider accompanying the verdict of guilty delivered by the Supreme Court jury following the retrial of William Perry Hollings, a former solicitor. Sentence will be given by Air Justice Ostler on Tuesday. Hollings was charged with putting , £650 to other uses than that directed
by his client, Samuel Wilson, of Wellington, and thereby committing theft,
