EARTHQUAKE SHOCK
■ ■ ■ — nqggp— IN WELLINGTON PROVINCE NO DAMAGE REPORTED (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. A slight earthquake' shock of short duration was felt in Wellington about 9.12 last night. The effect was that of gentle but rapid rocking, which lasted several seconds. MASTER,TON. This Day. A sharp earthquake, preceded by a .loud rumbling noise, was experienced hero at 9.12 last ni dit. No damage is reported, but the shake was sufficiently severe to bring many residents scurrying nut of doors. The shock is reported to have been fairly heavy in Carterton, Mauriceviile west, and Eketnhuna. No damage is reported anywhere.
