BAYLY MURDER TRIAL
WITHDRAWAL 01- LEADING COUNSEL JLR HANLON, K.C., INDISPOSED (By Telegraph—Press Association) DUNEDIN, This Day. It was recently announced that Mr A. C. Hanlon, K.C.. of Dunedin, had accepted a brief to act as leading counsel for William Bayiy, of Auckland., who is charged with the murder of Samuel and Christobcl Lakey. In consequence of medical advice Mr Hanlon has been reluctantly compelled to relinquish the brief. Since a good deal of preparatory work has been done in connection with the case, Messrs E. 11. Northcroft and IT. B. Lusk, Auckland advisers of accused, visited Dunedin yesterday for the purpose of conferring with Mr Hanlon. They arrived from Auckland by aeroplane. The actual flying time for the 650 miles journey was 6 hours 40 minutes.
