BOXING
HTJRNE’S FOOT. INJURED (By Telegraph—Press Association) BLENHEIM, 29th April. Cyril Hume, of Wellington, retired at the end of the eleventh of a fifteenrounds boxing bout with Clarrie Ravner of Blenheim, as the result of an injury to- a foot. The bout began sensationally. Hurnc was bowled over, and either sprained his boot or broke a small bone. Despite his disability, he outboxed Rayner for the next four or live rounds, but from then to the end he was outfought, and down more than once. Rayner’s feather title was not involved.
