EASTER INCIDENT AT ORINGI - MOTOR CAR HELD UP (By Telegraph—Press Association) DANNEVIRKE, This Day. Arising out of an incident lieai Oringi oil Easter Saturday evening, when a motor ear containing three young men who were returning to Dan-* nevirke from the Feilding races was allegedly held up, Ronald Herbert Floyd, aged 19 years, a labourer, Robert Floyd, aged 18 years, a labourer, Stanley Jordan Madden, aged 17 years, a labourer, and a juvenile, aged 1G years, appeared before Mr J. Miller, S.M. They were charged that being armed with an offensive weapon, a six chambered revolver, they did assault with intent to rob the persons in the car. The evidence of the police detailed, the steps taken after the offence was reported, and the subsequent arrest of tlie accused, who made statements admitting j?arUunation in the affair. The revolver alleged to have been used was taken from the premises where one of the accused worked, and was put back on the following day.
