MIXER’S PRESENCE OF MIND LONDON, 13th April. When <a motor bus crashed from Pontypool road, down an embankment to block the railway line 40ft below, a miner, Nicholas Jordain, smashed a window, broke into a locked signal box, and telephoned to Pontvpool station. He then, experimented with different levers until he set the signals at “danger,” thus pulling up an oncoming; train, twelve passengers in the bus were injured.
