“A SPLENDID EXHIBITION”

BRIGHTWATER ANNUAL SHOW REFLEX OF RURAL INTERESTS FIXTURE CLOSES THIS EVENING A splendid exhibition” was the comment to a “Mail” reprter by one of the judges at the autumn exhibition of farm products, flowers, fruit, vegetables and domestic, produce opened at Brightwater yesterday. The exhibition, be remarked, was a credit to the district, and it was also a favourable reflection of the indefatigable efforts of the enthusiastic show committee, without whoso efforts io show could not prove successful, he exhibits in tile different sections of the show were well staged, and these combined to make an attractive display, and visitors could view the various entries without being put to any degree of discomfort. It is gratifying that exmbits have been entered for competition by competitors who are resident in the North Island. The exhibits of chrysanthemums, dahlias and other flowers make a splendid galaxy of colour, and these i laminate the building in which tiiey have been staged. The champion chrysanthenium lis an especially beautiful product of the garden, and this is a centre of attraction and of admiration by visitors to the annual fixture. Despite the dry season the entries of farm produce, vegetables and fruit are pleasing, while there are also some excellent exhibits of women’s work to be seen in the industrial and crafts 'seetions. The fixture may be regarded as a reflex of home and rural interests, and it is well worth a visit of inspection by all interested in those interesting things. I lie exhibition will closo this evening.
