GRANTS FOR LIBRARIES VISITOR FROM PITTSBURG (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, This Dav. Air Ralph Mtinn, Director of the- Carnegie Library at Pittsburg, arrived today to make a survey of New Zealand's library system on behalf of the Carnegie Corporation at the request of the Libraries Association of New Zealand. Mr Munn said Mr Andrew Carnegie left ten million dollars to be spent in the British dominions. Large sums had been spent in South Africa and Canada, but so far little had come to New Zealand and Australia. His tour would occupy a month and he intended to. pay special attention to the small town and country libraries. He would then make a similar survey in Australia.
