Christopher Charles Brown, aged 22 years, who was charged in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday with the murder, and alternatively with the manslaughter, of Stephen Walter Carter on 31st March pleaded not guilty to the charge of manslaughter and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Bail was allowed in one surety of £SOO. The charge of murder was dismissed for want, of prosecution.
