THE CHURCHILL CHARGES TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE Biitish Official Wireless' RUGBY. 17th April.' The Committee of Privileges which which been summoned to examine charges that attempts were made to tamper with the evidence tendered by the Manchester Chamber of Commerce to the Joint Select Committee on Indian Reform, will meet on Thursday. House of Commons at the beginning of each session, and representing all parties. The committee soltles its own procedure, and has power to call for witnesses and papers. It is assumed that the principal witnesses will he Fir Samuel Hoare, Mr Winston Churchill, and Mr S. S. ilainmersiey, Lancashire Meimnber of Parliament.

Gandhi, interviewed at Jorliat, Assam, declared that while lie considered Congressmen could and should co-oper-ate with the Government in legislatures, he never knew when the time might come to ask his sympathisers to resume the strucrrifi against the Government.
