MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT
LABOUR MEMBERS INVOLVED MINOR BRUISES AND CUTS (By Telegraph—Press Association) HOKITIKA, This Day. "Mr M. J. Savage, Leader of the Labour Party, Mr O’Brien, member for Westland, Mr Webb, member for Buller, and a local resident were involved in a motor car accident near Duffer’s Creek at midnight when returning from a political meeting at Matainui. Mr O’Brien was driving a Ford sedan when the brakes jammed and the car capsized over a siding, falling twenty feet. The passengers had difficulty in extricating themselves from the overturned car, but escaped with minor bruises and cuts. The car, a new one, was badly smashed.
