RICHMOND METHODIST CIRCUIT
The Quarterly Board of the Richmond Methodist Circuit met at Brightwater oil Monday evening when all places within its bounds were represented. The Rev. B. Dudley (chairman! welcomed a new member to office. A letter of condolence was ordered to be sent to Mrs Higgs in her recent bereavement. One addition was made to tlie members’ roll. Finances had been well maintained at most places, but owing to lessened activities due, it was thought, to the holiday season, the deficiency was increased rather than reduced. The hope was indulged by those present that an improvement would be reported at the. next meeting. Sunday schools and, young peoples’ departments were favourably reported upon. Reference was made to the ’Business of the recent conference in Wellington. Expectations were raised concerning special services for spiritual instruction and renewal shortly to be arranged. The Church anniversary at Richmond was dated for the 13th of May. Brightwater ladies handed round refreshments and were thanked bv resolution and acclamation.
