FARM RELIEF BILL
PURCHASE OF SILVER ABROAD EXCHANGE FOR CROPS (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) WASHINGTON, 10th April. The United States Senate Agriculture Committee on Tuesday reported favourably on the Dies Silver Farm Relief Bill, carrying an amendment by Senator Thomas' for the nationalisation of silver, which provides for unlimited purchase until it reaches I lie price of 1 dollar 25 cents an ounye or until the 1926 commodity price level is attained. The Dies Bill provides for the acceptance of silver from other nations at a premium of 25 per cent, over (lie world price in exchange for United States surplus crops.
