WEDDING

HIGGINS—WILTSHIRE The Anglican Church of St-.# James at Tadmor was very tastefully decorated on Tuesday, 3rd April, on the occasion of t!m wedding of Trevor Lewis Higgins, sou of Mr and Airs L. Higgins, of Koeterangi (Hokitika) and Aliss Enid Joan Sylvia Wiltshire, daughter of Mr and Airs L. Al. Wiltshire, of Tadmor. The Vicar of Alotupiko (the Rev. W. Edgar) officiated, and the musical portion of the service was in the capable hands of Airs Bert Higgins, the bride’s sister. The little church was full, while many friends and well-wishers were unable to gain admission. The bride entered the church on her father’s arm, and was attired in a charming dress of silk waffle crepe'with veil and shoes to match, and carrying a bouquet of white roses and chrysanthemums. She was attended by Aliss Gertrude Higgins (sister of tile bridegroom), and Aliss Avis Death, as bridesmaids, the former attired in a most becoming dress of lemon • organdi and the latter in blue organdi with hat and shoes to tone, and each carrying bouquets of lemon and pink roses. Aliss Doris Hunter acted as flower girl and looked ver-v charming in a full length dress of pink organdi and with a bououet of the same colour.

The bridegroom was attended by Air Maurice Hatinen as best man and Air Wallace Harford as groomsman. After the ceremony over sixty guests assembled in the 'Tadmor Hall where they were received by the bride’s mother, attired in a very pretty dress of blue morocain, trimmed with fawn and a hat of the same colour. After the usual toasts had been honoured and a very pleasant time spent, the happy couple left for Murchison amid the good wishes of all. Airs Higgins’ travelling dress was of blue pan velvet. Their future home will be at Koeterangi.
