SENTRY TRICKED
NOTORIOUS BRIGANDS ESCAPE TERRORISING COUNTRYSIDE (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) CALCUTTA, Gth April. Eleven notorious brigands awaiting trial for a village hold-up in Bhagalpur state made a daring escape from gaol at Bhagalnagar yesterday, and at present are terrorising the countryside. They tricked the sentry into opening the cells, seized his rifle and shot and severely wounded him. They then looted the police armoury taking eleven guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and fled into the jungle. TERRORIST ACTIVITIES A GIRL ARRESTED CALCUTTA, bth April. The seventeen-year-old daughter of a Comilla Government pensioner, was arrested in connection with terrorist- a'c>-\-vilies.
