INTERNATIONAL AIR DERBY
A GRUELLING TEST WON BY FRENCH ’PLANE (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 23rd December, 10 a.m.) CAIRO, 23rd December. A 900 miles desert air race, a most gruelling test for the international air Derby, was won by Madame Pambree, whose ’plane was piloted by a Frenchman. There were nineteen British competitors, of whom only five started. The others were delayed by stormy weather.
