THE SOUTHERN CROSS
COMING TOUR OF DOMINION (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. In the course of a radio-telephone conversation with his brother, Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, in Sydney, Mr Wilfrid Smith, who is at present.in Wellington, ascertained that the Southern Cross will leave Sydney on Thursday, 11th January, and land at New Plymouth, where the tour of New Zealand will commence. Sir Charles will probably be accompanied in the Southern. Cross by Mr J. Percival, who was a passenger on last year’s trans-Tasman night, as well as Mr S. E. Neilsen, of New Plymouth.
The Codock' ’plane will be flown across the Tasman at the end of January, and will land at Auckland in time to join Sir Charles in the tour of the South Island.
