NATIVE INQUIRY
JUDGE TO PRESIDE
(From "The Mail’s” Parliamentary Reporter).
WELLINGTON, 22nd December. An announcement that the Royal Commission which is to inquire into the administration of Native Affairs would be set lip at'an early date, was made by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes) in the House of Representatives.
Mr Forbes added that it was tile intention of the Government that a Judge of the Supreme Court should preside.
