BIG SAVING IN INTEREST UR LYONS GRATIFIED (United Tress Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) CANBERRA. This Day. The Prime Minister, Mr Lyons, expressing gratification at the success of the recent conversion loan of £16,647,000, of which tlie interest vie Id is £3 16s 9d, compared with £3 17s lid for the former conversion, said the Commonwealth would save £304.000 a. year in interest and exchange. He added that only £17,854,850 of high interest loans remain to be converted at low interest.
