INVESTIGATION Ttf BE MADE SPECIAL COMMISSION APPOINTED (By Telegraph—Presa Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The appointment of a special coni; mission to investigate the promotion of financial methods and the operation of certain companies in the Dominion was announced by Mr Coates. The members of the commission are, Mr J. S. Barton, S.M.. Wellington, Professor D. Belshaw, Auckland, and Mr F. E. Graham, Christchurch. “The object of the commission,” said Mr Coates, “will he to inquire into and report upon the tendency and development apaprent in the Dominion in relation to the promotion of financial methods and the control and operation of certain companies and other_ corporations which seek to raise capital and loan funds in the Dominion.” It is expected that tlie commission will take up its duties about the middle of January.
