BOWLING

ELECTRIC LIGHT TOURNAMENT ON MAITAI GREENS

Another of the popular electric light bowling tournaments was held on the Maitai Club’s green last evening, when 8 rinks took part. Four l’inks succeeded in winning two games each, and in the play-off Stevens defeated Rudman and Kitcliingman defeated Watson. In the final (3" heads) the result was a draw, and an'extra head was nlayed, Kitchingman’s rink proving too good for their opponents. Several of the players taking part were quite new to the game, and frequent calls from the skips to ‘‘be up” and “don’t be narrow” were heard. Not a few “ditchers” were recorded. It is hoped that some, if not all, of the new players will adopt the game, and enjoy the good sport provided by bouTfug.
