In a special interview Mr Kurusu, director of the Commerce Bureau, repudiates the suggestion of a- boycott of Australian wool, of which the consumption is yearly increasing. There is no fea,r of a serious diminution in purchases unless Australia unfairly penalises Japanese exports. He explained that the movements for the purchase of wool in South Africa and the Argentine were with a view to correct the balances of exports and imports. Tlie Government was .not intending special subsidies. :
