“I ’avoirt bad a drink foi days,” said a tramp to 1 lie landlady of the George and Dragon- “D’yer thin 1 - yon could .pare me one?” 'Certainly not.” replied the landlady. ‘Thank ycr,” said the tramp and slouched off, but a few minutes later be was back. “What d'yer •vant now?” asked the landlady. “Could I ’ave a few words with George?” queried the tramp.
