N.Z. SOCIALISTS’ DIFFICULTY

At the Institute of Pacific Relations Mr Walter Nash said that New Zealand’s Socialists had found the same difficulty as in Canada in reconciling the views of the farmer and the urban worker. 110 believed that while reconciliation was difficult, it was by no means impossible. He described the Socialist platforms and the aims of the New Zealand Labour Party as somewhat similar to the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation’s programme m Canada.
