IRRIGATION IN MID-CANTERBURY
(By Telegraph—Press Association) : ASHBURTON, This Day. A request for a Government subsidy of £SOO, pound for pound, for increasing the capacity of water races for irrigation was placed before the Hon. E. A. Ransom by the County Council. The Munster recognised the value of irrigation in Mid-Canterbury, and promised to confer with Mr Coates as to finance.
