A HEADMASTER’S INFLUENCE
TIIE tributes paid Mr C. 11. Broad on his retirement from Nelson College after a life’s work in its services will be remembered for their wliole-lieartedness and their completeness. All with whom he has been associated, from College Governors downwards, have felt the desire to give some expression of their regard. A key to the nature of the service that iias been rendered may ho found in the action of the domestic staff in making a presentation to Mr and Mrs Broad. Many have been impressed, among other things, with the unobtrusiveness and essentially gentlemanly qualities of the boys of Nelson College. Perhaps we do not have to look far for a good deal of the reason.
