AUSTRALIAN SWIMMERS
MAORI. PRESENTATION AT ROTORUA (By Telegraph—Pres6 Association) ROTORUA, This Day. At a special function held at Ohinemutu pa to entertain the visiting Australian swimming team, O. Griffiths, F. Griffiths, V. Besomo and C. Phillips, there was a large Maori gathering and a specially carvea Alaori shield was presented as a gift of the Arawa tribe lb the New South Wales Swimming Association, and it was suggested by Tai Mitchell, who made the presentation on behalf of the Ohinemutu Swimming Club, that' 1 the trophy be allocated to the New South Wales 100 yards championship. The gift was made as a recognition of the interest taken by the team in developing Alaori swimmers.
