2ZR RADIO CLUB
POSITION REGARDING RECORDS
The committee of 2ZR Radio Club has received cabled advice from the gramophone record manufacturers stating that all records which are not branded “This record must not be used for broadcast purposes or public performance” can now be used in the meantime. This has relieved the position somewhat for the club but the cable is interpreted to mean that the record companies will probably send a representative round to the various dealers to re-label their records. This means that the club will be automatically cut out from purchasing records so branded. The committee of the 2ZR Club therefore desires to appeal to all listeners or to all those interested who have records of the H.M.V., Regal, Columbia, Zonophone and Parlourphone companies, not bearing the prohibited label, to send them into the club if they can be spared. By so doing they would help very materially. The purchase of records is a big matter to the club as it utilises a great deal of the finances. All listeners are urgently askecl to join the club and thus assist the local station to continue its service.
