ANOTHER KIDNAPPING
A WEALTHY BANKER .... CLOSE FRIEND OF LINDBERGH (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) MONTREAL, 13th February; Denver Charles Boettcher, a wealthy young banker and incidentally a close friend of Colonel Lindbergh, was kidnapped early to-day and is held for 00,000 dollars ransom, which his wife offered to pay. No contact with the kidnappers has yet been effected. Boettcher and his wife arrived home in an automobile when two men, armed, stepped frqm behind the garage and forced him to enter a small sedan. They handed the wife a ransom note which warned her against notifying the police. It also mentioned “Don’tt forget the Lindbergh baby.”
