EX-MILLIONAIRE’S SUICIDE
IN VIENNA POOR-HOUSE (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 13th February, 8.40 a.m.) Baron von Martens, a noted figure in pre-war society, committed suicide in a poorhouse to which he and his wife had been driven by destitution. The baron during the war inherited a fortune ot twelve millions sterling, all of which lie dissipated during the war and the subsequent inflation and crash in the value of securities.
