MODEL AEROPLANES AT STOKE AERODROME
UNFAVOURABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS MODEL CLUB FORMED In spite of showery and windy weather a large number of enthusiasts, young and old, put in an appearance at the Nelson Aero Club’s Aerodrome at Stoke to see Model Aeroplanes in action. A number of flights were made but the conditions made good performances a matter of chance. Air H. Robinson who flew a home-built ’‘Stick” model made a very creditable showing. Mr A. E. Kingsford spoke to the gathering and made a suggestion from the Nelson Aero Club, that a model club should be formed. Mr Robinson was appointed secretary and a committee was elected. Air T. Stewart has generously donated a new cycle for competition. A further meeting will be arranged at an early date.
