BAKERS’ CONFERENCE
OFFICERS ELECTED (By Telegraph—Press Association) DUNEDIN, 9th February. The New Zealand Bakers’ Conference was continued at. Dunedin to-day. In response Lo a request 1.0 bring down a recommendation on proposals to alter I lie constitution, the executive committee .submitted the following motions, which wore adopted:— “That- of the present levy of Cl Is, now payable to the New Zealand executive by all affiliated associations, tlie sum of 10s 6d be paid direct by the New Zealand Association to a commit tee controlling tlie Sou Hi Island and North Island organisers’ funds respecti\ely. “That 50 per cent, of the fees contributed from tlie South Island for associate and active members be refunded to the South Island organiser’s fund. The following office-bearers were elected: President, Mr V. W. Smith (Stratford): North Island vice-president, Mr C. Cowan (Auckland); South Island vice-president, Mr L. A. Woodward (Christchurch); executive, Messrs J. McGregor, G. K. Mathieson, L. Burton, R. H. Montgomery, 11. P. Burton, and C. Buchanan ; auditor, Mr H. F. O. Twigden.
