N.Z. TROTTING CUP
CONDITIONS FOR THIS YEAR (By Telegraph—Prose Association) CHRISTCHURCH, 30th August. The programme committee of.the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club today decided upon the conditions of the Trotting Cup for this year. During the past three years the race has been run in two heats and a final. This year there will be one race only. The stake will be £ISOO, to be distributed as follows :—£looo to the winner, £250 to the second horse, £l5O to the third, and £IOO to the fourth. Last year the stake was £3OO. The race will be open to horses assessed to do 4.25 or better. The total stakes for the club’s Spring Meeting will be £IO,OOO.
