REFUSAL TO PAY
TILL COURT DECIDES (Received 18th June, 9.0 a.m.) DUBLIN, 17th June. Speaking in the Bail, Mr de Valera declared that it was extraordinary to hear Mr MacDonald telling Lausanne that inter-governmental payments were crushing Europe, while a colloaguo in the House of Commons insisted on not merely a pound of flesh, but that the British should determine exactly how much. "We mean to hold moneys until Britain establishes a right thereto before a Court in which it cannot be suggested (hat there is any loading of the dice against Ireland.”
