PERSONNEL OP DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITTEES SETTLERS TO BE PLACED • SHORTLY The joint organisers in connection with small farm settlement in the Nelson Province, Mr G. Blair, Inspector of Stock, and Dr. D L Freeman, of tho Fields Division of the Department of Agriculture, advise that the personnel of committees in different localities as appointed by the 11011. Minister of Agriculture are as follow:

Nelson: Messrs' W. B. Travers (Nelson) • J. Colder (chairman Waimea Connty Council, Wukapuaka); and G. Manson (Stoke). Wakefield: Messrs W. Martin (president Nelson Agricultural and Pastoral Association, Wakefield) ; A. E. Max (Brightwatcr); L. M. Palmer (Waimea West), and If. K. Everett (Wakefield).

Molucka: Messrs K. J. Ilolyoake (president Nelson Provincial Branch Now Zealand Farmers’ Union, Riwaka); R. 'recce fl larakeke); and I). L. Drummond (Riwaka). Takaka: Messrs A. 11. Barnett (' luiirman County Council, Takaka); J. E. Windle (Takaka); and F. Page (Takaka). Collingwood: Mr A. 11. Fletcher (chairman, Collingwood County Council, Collingwood); W. Solly (Fernlown); and W. R. Riley ’’oekvilie). The organisers informed a. "Mail” representative 10-dav that it was anticipated that' the first settlers under the scheme in Nelson would he placed oil holdings at an early date. Very great interest has been shown in the l plan in everv part of the Dominion and it is hoped to make the most of the material which is at their disposal in the way of bringing together reasonable areas of land and industrious settlers and thus ensure for Nelson its share of success in Ihe scheme. Farmers who have land suitable for settlement should communicate with the organisers early so as to eiisunv a greater likelihood of men being settled in the areas before the advent of Ihe spring season.
