A further increase in the number of registered unemployed in New Zealand was rcco’iled for the week ended 131,h June, the total number of workless being 54,122, compared with 54,027 for the previous seven days, an increase of 95. This is the smallest rise in the figures for a number of weeks. The week’s total includes 40,654 men who aro employed oil No. 5 scheme, which left 13,46 b standing down or unplaced.
