METHODIST MAORI MISSION RETURNS

Maori Mission returns presented at the Methodist Conference showed the number of baptised members, adults, and children, as 3682. The returns brought up to date show 29 Maori ministers and home missionaries, one Maori deaconess, five Maoris deaconess students, and seven European' deaconesses and nurses engaged in Maori work. ■ These seven are the only Europeans engaged in Maori work, except the general superintendant of the ‘home and Maori Missions, who divides 'his time between European and Maori work.
