LORD READING
ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED
(British Official Wireless) RUGBY, sth August. Tho engagement is announced of Lord Reading, former Viceroy of India, to Miss Stella Cliasnaud. The wedding will take place to-morrow. Miss Cliasnaud was on the vice-regal staff in India, and since returning to England has as Lord Reading’s principal secretary helped him in his political and business interests, and notably in the work of the Round Table Conference. She is stated to possess exceptional knowledge of Indian affairs and of politics and business, and to ho a remarkable linguist.
