Mr Ronald F. Batchelor lias been appointed Public Trust agent at Murchison.
Before the commencement of the business at yesterday’s meeting of the Nelson Hospital Board, the Chairman, Mr F. W. 0. Smith, made reference to the sudden dentil at the weekend of Dr. V. Barr, who had been radiologist ;u the institution for a number of years. He said the late doctor took a great interest in public affairs and would be greatly missed not only in bis profession. but also as a citizen. The good services of Dr. Barr to the hospital were placed on record and a vote of sympathv and condolence passed to the widow, members standing as a mark of respect.
